I created this word search to go along with VEX GO. It is a great unplugged activity and can be used during the first week of school and to review essential vocabulary and VEX pieces.

@Danielle_McCoy What a fun unplugged activity! If you wanted to plug it in, so to speak, you could upload it into VEXcode VR using Art Canvas + !
I took a screen shot, and followed the steps in this article to upload the image of the word search. Here’s what it looks like:
Then you can challenge your students to draw a line through all the words they find using the VR Pen. This article provides more details about using the Pen.
And, here’s a little starter code you can share with students - this project has the Robot find and cross off the word engineer.

Of course, you can upload any word search you want - you could even have students create their own to share with one another.
Enjoy playing around with this idea in Art Canvas + !

That looks like so much fun @Danielle_McCoy! It could be really fun to translate onto a giant Field and code the Code Base to solve later on in the year too - like revisit the words in the search, review what they mean when kids may have expanded their knowledge, and code the robot to travel to different words.

This would be perfect, thank you.

I’m imagining those big, flexible colored squares (like daycares use for story time) as the tiles!

@Danielle_McCoy We could use the poster maker to blow up the wordsearch and students could code their robots to drive over the words.
