I am a High School STEM teacher, and I use VEX EXP in my classes to teach problem-solving skills, introduce coding, and engineering design.

Hello all my fellow Vex colleagues. My name is Theron Nesbitt and I am the instructional technology director for Millington Community Schools in Millington, Mi. We are a small rural school of 1,100 students k-12.
The past 2 years I have spent a great deal of time working with our alternative education students. Providing students with real world and practical science, technology and math. Last year I introduced RC cars and provided a differentiated approach to math with gear ratios, speed etc. This year I have incorporated a lot of microbit block coding. Now new and preparing for 2nd semester I am introducing Vex IQ and Vex CTE work cell.
I am super excited about the opportunities to teach students real world career skills that they may have not otherwise received.

I have been working in educational robotics for over 20 years. I teach children robotics, programming, and science. I write educational programs and create my own lessons based on original models (I design the models and create the building instructions myself).
I conduct a lot of research in the field of robotics and write articles.
Recently, I became interested in VEX technologies and started working with VEX GO.

My name is Meta and I workat the Ajdovščina Adult Education Centre in Slovenia, where I’m responsible for digital competences. I’m new to robotics, and VEX is my first step into this field. Beyond working with children in our various non-formal programs and workshops, I’m particularly interested in exploring how robotics, and VEX specifically, can also be introduced to older adults, not only to children. I’d love to connect with others who have experience bridging robotics education across different age groups.

Hi everyone,
I’m Nicholas.
I’m another Aussie, living slightly north of Adelaide and working in the northern suburbs.
Before starting my teaching degree I got halfway through a mechatronic engineering degree, then transferred to teaching it.
Over the years I’ve had experience teaching with a broad variety of different robotics platforms, Vex iq, vex exp, vex V5, Sphero’s, Ozobots, beebots, Edison’s, Lego mindstorms, spike prime. I’ve been involved in Lego First League, Robo cup, VIQRC and V5RC.
2 years ago I got the role of head of technologies for the school I had worked at for a couple of years and was able to roll out robotics across the school adding Vex EXP’s, IQ’s and Go’s to the existing ozobots and beebots. I also introduced our extra curricula robotics club starting out with 2 IQ teams and 2 V5 teams in 2025. Two of these teams were able to get to the national championship in our first year.
This year we’ve added 2 more IQ teams and I’m really excited to host our first tournament at our school in 2.5 weeks time. 2x IQ tournaments at the same time, an ES one with 19 teams coming and an MS one with 24 teams.
I also really enjoy making things using CAD, 3D printing, laser cutting etc. I’ve made our own custom trophies for the tournaments we’re hosting
