123 Coder and App

I have a coder that needs to be updated. In the app, however, the update option does not highlight to touch. Only coder in the classroom with this issue. New batteries.

Any suggestions on how to update this?

Hi @Mike_Bothwell, I’ve seen that when I’ve had an issue with the batteries. You can try swapping for a different set of batteries, or just taking the batteries out and putting them back in, to make sure that they’re making good contact. I hope that helps :slight_smile:

Unfortunately, I’ve tried new batteries, swapping their position, and just taking out/putting back in. Same thing. Just doesn’t give me the update prompt.

Hi @Mike_Bothwell the only other thing I can think of would be on the mobile device side of things - like whatever device you’re using the Classroom App on. You can try to force quit the Classroom App and then restart it first. Then, try power cycling the device itself, and leaving it off for a few minutes before turning it back on. (The same leaving it off/battery-less for a few minutes could also apply to the Coder itself as well.)
