Check out the latest VEX IQ Activity Series - Space Adventure!

Ready to take your VEX IQ Kit to the Moon? Get your students’ creative juices flowing with the Space Adventure Activity Series!

In the Space Adventure Activity Series, students explore basic engineering techniques to design and build a moonbase, buggy, ramp, pulley system, and a motorized rover to help astronauts in their missions on the Moon!

This Activity Series contains 5 Activities that build upon one another, giving students the opportunity to explore mechanism construction and usage, within the ‘storyline’ of a lunar mission.

This could be a great extension to some of the engineering STEM Labs, or an introduction to free building, or even a team building exercise for a competition team that is getting to know one another in the new season. Here is an example of one of the Activities in the Series, where students need to build a pulley setup to raise their moon buggy onto a lunar peak.

How can you envision using this Activity Series in your setting? What are some other ‘themed’ activities that you’ve done with your IQ students?
I’ll tag @Mike_Bothwell and @Daniel_Faddis to get the conversation started - I could see this being useful in both of your situations
