Classroom Organization

How do you organize your Workcells before the school year begins? What about during the year?

I know back in my old classroom, there would have been a fight for space in the classroom for each of the workstations for my students and their Workcells. But I probably would have had a couple cabinets for them to put their builds within and then the parts bins on top of the cabinet. Or used the storage carts that can be purchased with the Workcell and also used those as our workstations.

I’d love to hear from anyone who has them in their classroom already! What are your storage solutions for the Workcell? @Molly_Gomes @LORI_COLANGELO @Maree_Timms

I’m not set up to take pictures, but I keep my field in the middle of the room, and my other equipment around the perimeter. I have all my kits broken down into part type, it makes it so much easier to find pieces and I’m not spending hours trying to reorganize the kits to how they were when I bought them. I also keep the Workcell closest to my workstation, since they are the priciest of the equipment I have. I trust my kiddos, but sometimes I have other classes in for study halls and such and we all know kids like to touch things when they shouldn’t…
