Competition STEM Lab and Virtual Driving Skills Practice

Hi there,

I’m hoping to get an answer and also share some feedback about one of the features on the VEX website I used last school year.

For the 2025-2026 school year and Robotics competition season, I found the Competition 101 STEM Lab for Push Back to be super helpful and a great thing to use, both in my classes and with students who were competing.

I especially liked the Virtual Driving Skills Practice since it allowed students to jump right in and see what the competition is like without having to build an entire robot first. (We also didn’t receive our field kit right at the beginning of the school year, so it was helpful to have a virtual option while we waited for that to arrive.)

Another benefit of the Virtual Driving I like is letting students experience past games. I see that High Stakes is available, although I didn’t use it that year (because I didn’t know it existed!) We usually recycle or donate most of the game elements at the end of each school year, so it’s cool to have a way to still access old games.

The rest of the STEM Lab was useful as well. I adapted most of the “sessions” into lessons that I used in my classes and then had miniature “competitions” with 2-6 teams in each of my class.

My questions is: Are there plans to publish another STEM Lab for this year’s game, or at least to have the Virtual Driving Skills Practice for Override?

I really hope that something similar to last year’s is in the works, because again, it was super useful, my students enjoyed it, and I think it’s a great way to get the kids engaged quickly and easily.

I am so glad to hear that the Competition 101 STEM Lab and Virtual Skills were helpful for your students! Both of these will be coming for Override in the next couple months, so we will be sure to keep you posted when we have a better timeline on when those will be live  Our goal is to have everything for back to school season, so it’s looking like late August.
