Is there a way to drive forward for turns while using a Drivetrain configuration (2 motor)? I have students working on ratios and I want them to calculate number of turns to travel set distance. Thoughts?
When you use a Drivetrain configuration, the motors become paired to help organize the motor turns to happen at the same time and calculate the distance forward.
If you want to have the students calculate the turns, I would recommend a motor group! This functions just like the Drivetrain since both motors are paired together and controlled at the same time, but allows for the Spin For blocks including the “turn” dropdown parameter option.
This article explains the configuration process for a motor group in relation to 1st gen IQ, but will work for both! Just make sure you have the directions of each motor aligned so they move in the same direction.
