Ferris Wheel - RoboWow Educational Robotics Course!

Hello, colleagues!

Here is a Ferris wheel model from my original RoboWow course.

I like models like this because they are very versatile: the same construction can be used with beginners as well as more experienced students.

At the basic level, students learn about rotational motion, gear transmission, bevel reduction gearing, and strong structures based on triangles. In programming, they work with motor control, speed, and direction.

For older students, we can also introduce gear ratio calculations.

By adding an Eye Sensor, the model opens up a completely new programming level: working with colors, Wait Until, conditions, and If-Else statements, as well as changing speed and direction based on sensor data.

That is why I enjoy models like this so much: they may look simple, but they offer many opportunities to teach both mechanics and programming.
