I’m excited to announce the launch of our new API resource site, designed to support all VEXcode users. This comprehensive platform provides detailed information on every Block and Text command available, organized by platform.
You can access the site at api.vex.com. Currently, the API documentation covers:
- VEXcode VR
- VEX EXP (for only Blocks and Python languages)
We’re actively working on expanding the coverage to include more platforms and languages in the near future.
We believe this resource will be invaluable in streamlining your coding projects and enhancing their success. We welcome your feedback on this new tool and look forward to hearing how it benefits your work.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this new resource and how you may use it in your classrooms and projects below!

Hello again! This time we wanted to introduce you to some of the great features found within api.vex.com!
We’ve designed the main page to help you easily interpret command entries across different languages.
For Block-based programming, we’ve included visual examples of Block projects. These projects show simple and easy to understand use-cases for each Block, letting you see how they can be used in VEXcode.
For text-based programming, we’ve added a convenient Copy button to each example. This feature allows you to quickly transfer code snippets directly into your VEXcode projects.
All of this makes finding the information you need and learning how to use it as simple as can be! We hope you’re as thrilled about this new resource as we are!
