Hi everyone! Thank you to those who attended our Introduction to VEXcode VR workshop at the 2026 VEX Educators Conference!
VEXcode VR is part of the VEX Continuum, a K-12 STEM learning plan that connects VEX platforms through shared resources, curriculum, and a consistent coding interface from elementary school through high school and beyond. VEXcode VR spans the entire Continuum, giving students another way to practice and explore alongside the platforms they’re already using.
We kicked things off by exploring how to get started with VEXcode VR, then jumped into two hands-on activities. In Castle Crasher, participants coded their VR Robot to knock over as many buildings as possible, experimenting with velocity, distance, and turns to refine their programs. In Coral Reef Cleanup, they programmed an Ocean Cleaning Robot to collect trash before the battery ran out. We also highlighted the Switch feature, which helps students make a smooth, meaningful transition from block-based coding to Python.
