Lesson Plans and Elevator - VEX EXP

Dear all,

Do you have any lesson plans beyond those available on the VEX website? I teach three classes per week, each lasting 90 minutes, and I have already covered the entire curriculum provided. Additionally, I have created extra challenges, but I need some inspiration at this point. Would you mind sharing any useful links or resources with me?

Also, do you know if it’s possible for students to build an elevator using the standard VEX EXP kit? If so, do you have any examples or references?

For this part, you can take a look at this article.

@Tina_Dietrich @LORI_COLANGELO Do either of you have any additional lesson plans or resources to share with Debora?

Another place, not sure if you’ve looked at is https://camps.vex.com/ .

@Debora_Inouye I do not have any lesson plans, but I will share an idea we’ve used the past two years. This is something the students actually proposed to the teacher. I always tell my teachers to let the students be creative and see what kind of challenges they would like to do,

At this time of year the High School focus is The Prom. Students were given the challenge to create a robot with moving parts that would dance to a song. I believe the teacher also told them the robot had a minimum number of dance moves it had to execute with bonus points for extra moves.
Attached are a few pics and a link to a few videos.
