I wanted to start a topic about you’re using Look Alike STEM Lab. My 3rd graders absolutely loved this STEM Lab.
My students were very excited to learn how to build an animal. I think for 3rd grade they understand and can connect with animals so much at this age level. Kids love animals. I had so much excitement from the kids - they immediately got into groups and I explained what each group members’ job was for this STEM Lab.
Class was really hard to end. I found that students wanted to go on and on by adding more iterations to their animals. I found that students loved writing down the data in addition to building. I found that kids didn’t want to clean up but continue to add to their creation.
**I think this will be the first STEM Lab I start with 3rd grade next year after Intro to Building. **
How have you used this STEM Lab? I’m so interested if you did anything differently. Let me know and tag me in the post
