More Summer Reading

One of my favorite articles we write every year is our Summer Reading PD+ Insights post. This year’s reading list is again great. After a discussion with our education team this week, I would like to add one more book to the list: What If?: Building Students’ Problem-Solving Skills Through Complex Challenges

I love this book. @Aimee_DeFoe wrote a terrific article and post about the book that I highly encourage you to check out.

I think this topic is more pertinent now than ever. In the age of AI, we know that many routine (and even non-routine) tasks are going to be automated. Therefore, preparing our students how to approach large, open-ended problems while also fostering their creativity, is always important, has arguably never been more important than right now.

Read the book. Or, schedule a 1-1 with a member of the team. Or, continue the discussion here in the community. Either way, let’s work together through the complex challenge of improving our students’ problem-solving skills.
