Hello All!
We have just published an Extension Unit for the VEX AIM Intro Course that’s all about robot-to-robot communication! This Unit consists of four scaffolded lessons that introduce students to coding with robot-to-robot messaging, and how it can open up a myriad of coding possibilities when two robots can work together to accomplish tasks.
By the end of the Unit, students work in combined groups to code two robots to perform a coordinated partner dance. They use the One Stick Controller to initiate dance moves for each of the five controller buttons. Along they way, they learn about troubleshooting and error handling and how to work with strings in their coding as well.
Check out this unit and let us know what you think! And, if you want to learn more about the importance of robot-to-robot communication, or have questions about the new Unit, schedule a 1-on-1 and we’ll happily talk with you about it!
