This may be a silly question, but can we still fully run the Vex IQ program (create code, download it, and run it on our robots) if we haven’t updated the software yet? Updating the software can only be done by our Tech Dept. I see the “update software” on the screen when the kids open up the program, but we haven’t used it yet (we’re new and it was installed right before the update occurred). Do we need to wait for our tech dept to install the new update, or can the students decline the notice, and use the old software until the update can take place? Thanks!
Edited to add: I know I can test it out tomorrow when I’m back in the classroom, just planning from home on Sunday and was curious about this. On my personal computer at home, it looks like I need to update the software before using the program.

Hi Christina,
Although it is always better to update the software before you use it, so you get the latest features and bug fixes, you still will be able to use VEXcode without updating the software!
