Hi Everyone!
We have just published two brand new VEX Camps you can use right away in your summer 2025 camp planning - one for VEX AIM, and one for VEX CTE.
All of our VEX Camps can be found at camps.vex.com. To access the two new camps, select the ‘Run Your Own Camp’ button at the top right of the page, or use this link.
As always, our two new camps provide you with everything you need to easily host a VEX Camp. Both camps have 1, 3, and 5 day implementations for you to choose from.
The VEX AIM Ready, AIM, Code Camp introduces students to VEX AIM. In the one-day version, students learn to drive the robot using the One-Stick Controller and use it to complete fun, hands-on activities with barrels and Sports balls. In the 5-day version, students start by driving and advance through coding the robot’s built-in AI Vision. They culminate their experience competing in an exciting Delivery Dash Challenge!
The VEX CTE Pack 'n Ship Challenge Camp is a great way to introduce students to industrial robotics through a fun series of challenges using the VEX CTE 6-Axis Robotic Arm. In the one-day implementation, students learn about using the Teach Pendant and the coordinate grid to move objects using the arm, and compete in a modified Pack and Ship Challenge.
In the 5-day implementation, students begin with the Teach Pendant, and then learn to code the 6-Axis Arm to pick up and place objects, and draw shapes on the Whiteboard using the Pen attachment. They cap off their camp experience by coding the arm to fulfill invoices quickly and accurately in the Pack and Ship Challenge!
We hope you and your students have a great time engaging in these new camps - let us know here if you try them out, or if you have any questions about how to run a VEX Camp with students. And if you are PD+ All-Access, you can always sign up for a 1-on-1 meeting to discuss camp ideas with an expert!
Happy Summer!
