Super Easy and Collaborative Holiday Fun with GO!

Hi Everyone,
When I taught elementary school, my kids loved working together to make paper chains at this time of year. I would challenge them to see how long they could make it and let them work on it at indoor recess. They would always get really into it and we’d end up with a room with a massive paper chain crisscrossing all over it!

I was just thinking you could do something similar with VEX GO - group students up and challenge them to see how long of a chain they can create with the pieces in the kit. Then you can have everyone link their chains for a whole-class decoration!

If you wanted to be sure that the kit pieces didn’t get all mixed up, you could require each chain to start and stop with a certain link - such as, your chain has to start with an all orange link and end with an all red one. That way you could take it apart easily and hand it back to the students to put away when you were ready to take it down. You could also put a little sticker with the group or kit number somewhere on each group’s length of chain so you know exactly which kit the chain belongs to.

If you try this out, let us know and share a picture or two! And if you have any other fun VEX GO Holiday ideas, pop them in a reply here!
