It’s been another fun filled week in the Robotics Lab as the students continued using the Switch Blocks to transition over to Python. What has been interesting, is watching the students just jump into using the Switch Block’s as instead of me having them convert the blocks as part of an assignment. (see pics below)
It shows that they are getting more comfortable with the Switch Blocks and coding in general. We did revisit the Castle Crasher Challenge and instead of hitting the structures, the students had to “Switch It Up” and follow the same path they originally took, but use the sensors they learned about to miss the structures and drive around them. I explained that sometimes a project they may be given in real life can change dramatically, and they have to make adjustments accordingly.
