Frequently in STEM Labs, you will see a note to have students break down their projects or plan their projects using pseudocode. One thing that we’ve recently added to support this is an article in the STEM Library explaining why you should have your students pseudocode and a video inside of the Teacher’s Portal for each of the IQ (2nd gen) STEM Lab Units!
Pseudocoding is a great way for your students to build a conceptual understanding of the coding concepts and for you to ensure that your students are on the right path before they begin guessing and checking with their code.

Pseudocode is also a great tool for competition teams as they develop their game strategy for the programming skills section since they need to identify the behaviors before they begin coding.
