Hey! My competition team was heavily requesting pneumatics so I just got in a handful of pneumatics kits for my students. My robotics 1 class uses EXP kits and my upper level and competition groups use V5.
When purchasing the Pneumatics kits it says they’re compatible with EXP and V5 but I can’t figure out how to code it in EXP so that my year 1 students can use it. In EXP it has pneumatics listed under the “Smart Wire” devices, when it is a “3-Wire” device.
Does anyone know a work around or a way to use it or am I just out of luck with my EXP classes?

With the V5 Pneumatics kits, you actually need to configure it in using the ‘Digital Out’ option in the 3-Wire Device list! This is true for if you are using it for V5 or EXP.
This article walks through how to code with the V5 Pneumatics Kit: https://kb.vex.com/hc/en-us/articles/17202683259540-Coding-the-V5-Pneumatics-Kit
Now the article specifically references VEXcode V5, but these same steps will apply if you are using VEXcode EXP. Here’s a screen recording of me quickly configuring the digital out device just as an example. Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions
