What’s the difference between VEQ IQ Classroom Bundle and Competition Kit ??? I am planning to teach my school kids to kick off VEQ IQ and want to take them VEQ IQ competition. Which kit I should order? Will there be more components in Competition kits?? Some thing will be missing in the Class room bundle? If I order class room bundle, the kids can’t create robo for their veq IQ competition?
Thanks,
Alex
Hi @Alex_Duraipalam,
VEX IQ Classroom Kits are designed for use in the classroom. All of our curricular materials can be completed using a VEX IQ Classroom Kit. A Classroom Bundle is a set of VEX IQ Classroom Kits and also includes Field Tiles and elements for robots to interact with, like cubes. They come in three different sizes:
- A small classroom bundle contains 5 complete classroom kits, and meet the needs of 10 students.
- A regular classroom bundle contains 10 complete classroom kits, and meets the needs of 20 students.
- A large classroom bundle contains 15 complete classroom kits, and meets the needs of 30 students.
Detailed information about everything that is included in VEX IQ Classroom Bundles can be found here: VEX IQ Education Bundles (2nd generation) - VEX Robotics
The competition kit contains additional parts needed to build the Hero Bots that can be used as a starting robot design for VEX IQ Competitions. This article describes this year’s Hero Bot and is useful as an introduction to what exactly a Hero Bot is!
If you purchase classroom bundles, you can then buy a competition upgrade kit to pair with one of your classroom kits, rather than buying a separate competition kit.
This article explains what is in a VEX IQ Competition Kit.
I hope this is helpful information for you! If you let me know where you are located, I will find out who your sales contact is and connect you.
