Walking robot - RoboWow Educational Robotics Course

Walking robots are significantly more complex in their movement than wheeled or tracked robots. However, understanding the principles behind their design and the mechanics of a proper walking motion is an important part of teaching robotics and engineering to students.

For me, it’s important that children not only build a robot, but also understand how and why the mechanism works.

Here is another model from my original RoboWow Educational Robotics Course, based on VEX GO. The model allows students to explore the mechanics of walking robots through building, observation, programming, and experimentation.

Another robot, another mechanism, another opportunity to learn engineering through practice.
