Is there a resource that has “answer” codes for teachers to use.
The class has hit a bit of an impasse and I would like to find a master code resource that can get us through unclear portions of the current Stem lab.
I thought I found a resource a while back that had solution codes available.
Does such a thing exist?
Currently we are working on the cube sweeper section of the Castle Crasher lab.
Please let us know if this helps. And we encourage you to keep posting your questions here! There will be other educators who will hop on and answer questions as well.
Thanks for the response, but no, this code does not work well
.
I dont expect it to be perfect, but this code always falls off after the 3rd or 4th drive forward block.
Also, if the robot does not see a block before reaching the edge, it drives off every time.
I will use the info gained to continue working on this, but again I feel like overall, either the product or the resources are not very accurate. I know I am new to this, but so far the whole vex system has been very frustrating.
I really hope things get better. I want this to work, but it has been day after day of trial and error, with no resolution on this STEM lab.
Thank you for pointing this out and for sticking with it. Can you share the code you’re working with so we can help troubleshoot together?
I really feel your frustration—I’ve been there. When I started teaching STEM, nothing seemed to work the way I hoped. I remember introducing sensors for the first time and watching my robot do everything but what I’d programmed. It wasn’t until I began to see those moments as part of the process—not interruptions to it—that things began to shift. That perspective didn’t come overnight, but it made the messiness feel less like failure and more like learning in motion.
We’re here to support you right where you are. Share your code and let’s dive in together
